Yes, it has been a while since I have posted. Some things have kept me out of the craft room for many weeks now. I will not get into details of the negative reasons but I will share a happy reason: we have a new bundle of puppy joy and his name is Teddy!! After our last Saint- the beautiful inside and out Ella- passed unexpectedly in October, our home and hearts have been empty. We were fortunate to have a new Saint enter into our lives about a month ago. He is a cutie pie and we love the little guy!
Teddy makes us laugh and is so very sweet. He is a super cuddler, too! Our new family member inspired the card I am sharing today.
Fittingly, the patterned papers are from Graphic 45's Raining Cats and Dogs collection. The lovely stamp is from Quietfire Design, "No one can measure":
Do you like the stamp used on this card? Excellent! Because I am giving away the stamp to one lucky person who leaves a comment on this post. You have until 11pm ET on Tuesday March 29th to leave a comment to enter the draw.
Good luck in the draw and thanks for stopping by!

Kathy Jo

Happy Easter
Wow, such a stunning vintage card using G45's Cat's & Dog's & the sentiment couldn't be more perfect. :) I love Raining Cat's & Dogs & bought 3 sets, I usually buy 2 but thought I can easily use 2 sets & save one for a very special design/occasion. Each time I use it, it makes me happy then I cringe, I don't want to see it all used up... haha OMGoodness Teddy is precious & oh so much fun when when they are young! How old is he now, what's his weight & how big was your other Saint? Can you tell I love Bernards & would love one but I my 4 exotic birds that would n't be happy if I brought one into "their" home. LOL! I'm sorry for the loss of your other Saint but once you have one, more will always find their way into your lives, they make wonderful human owners! :) A friend, who's disabled, lost her's the summer before last, they were together 24/7 & her heart was shattered. She sd there isn't a Bernard out there that can know & love me the way he did or the way I loved him, no other could have what we had so I won't allow myself to be broken ever again. After a lot of thought & talking to everyone she knows, her husband decided to take a big chance & we all prayed. Five months later at 10AM Xmas morning while having coffee the doorbell rang, looking perplexed she answered the door & saw a huge red, green & white bow moving all around, up and down & all over the place. Under this "huge" bow that was bigger than he was, was a beautiful Bernard that looked almost identical to her other one. She scooped him up & the bond was immediate... Enjoy Teddy, he's so lucky to have found you & you him!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card! Your puppy is adorable!!

What a wonderful sentiment stamp! I am so glad I saw your post over at FB! Because (i'll admit it) I do love giveaways -- but the post too ... Your little bundle of joy is precious and I can relate to how you feel about him, I can relate to "negative reasons" for not being crafty and I can relate to "there is always room for more love." THANKS for sharing this post and having this give away. :-) The giveaway got me here just so I could read the post ... I needed to read something like that today!
ReplyDeleteOOPS -- forgot to say, if I do win (I'm not greedy but I would love to ... LOL) -- please contact me at suseadoodle at gmail dot com, not at the mail dot com addie that comes up for "Bertha" (my commenting ID ... )
DeleteBeautiful card. Love Graphics 45. Adore that stamp. Would love to win. TG thanks for the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteLove your card Kathy Jo, I think I might have said that before!
ReplyDeleteLol. I think I am even more in love with Teddy! He is such a cutie!
Love the sentiment that celebrates your adorable new arrival. Such a beautiful way to express that thought, as was the wonderful card with the always fantastic G45 paper. I applaud you for the courage to cut into it. I fear I am a bit of a hoarder with this paper, for 2 reasons: it's so pretty I hate to cut (2)can never think of a design that shows off the gorgeous prints in the papers, so waffle about cutting into it. It's a lovely & cheery card, and so happy you have a little furbundle to brighten your days and warm your heart. Happy Easter. TFS
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful card! I love all the elements, but that bow is amazing! The sentiment stamp is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteSounds as though you have had a rough time - so glad you have Teddy to ease life for you. That is one wonderful sentiment
