Hello Crafty Friends!
It is time for my favorite crafty day of the week: Amazing Paper Grace blog post day! Today I am sharing a bright and cheerful card using the newly released Thank you for your kindness die set (S5-513)- a new set from the The Right Words Collection by Becca Feeken.
It is such a beautiful and versatile set! The background is so elegant, too.For my card I thought of a friend of mine who is very kind... and loves rainbows. I started with plain white cardstock and used Distress Inks to create a rainbow background. A piece of vellum was adhered over the rainbow background to soften the colors. Next, I die cut white card stock twice using the detailed background.
The words "you are so" was die cut three times using white foam, white card stock, and gold card stock. Kind and the kind back ground were also die cut. They were mounted to the card front using foam tape. Wee bling was applied as shown. It was mounted on gold card stock and then a white slim line base. The final touch was a double gold bow. I love the way it turned out!Thank you for stopping by! I do hope you enjoyed the card and it inspires you to create something you love with The Right Words Collection!
Have a happy, crafty day.
Hugs,
Kathy Jo
Hello Crafty Friends!
A couple of weeks ago I shared a pretty pink card using the Butterfly Bliss Garden Shutters die set designed by Becca Feeken (Amazing Paper Grace). Well, I just could not put it away as it is such a great die set. Also, my best friend's birthday is coming soon so I wanted to make her a card using the set. The colors (red, black, white) are definitely her colors and will go well with the colors in her home.
Have you seen the die set? It has the core dies to create the shutter card and then there are several dies to bling it up. In total, the die set consists of 19 thin metal dies that you can use to create a sweet, interactive card.
Now, if you do not make interactive cards or are concerned about the ease of making this card, do not fret! It was super easy to make the card. (Really, if I can make it then anyone can make it!)
For the card I used the following product designed by Becca Feeken:
Amazing Paper Grace Butterfly Bliss Garden die set (S6-183)
Amazing Paper Grace Eyelet Lace Frame die set (S6-184)
Also used was Spellbinders Hot Foil Be Bold Glimmer Sentiments (GLP-299)
The top of the shutters was made using the detailed scroll die in gold. A single butterfly was then added on the top of each shutter. A couple of drops of black Nuvo were added to each butterfly. But wait...what is that fancy scroll on the bottom of each shutter? I used the pull die, cut it to width, and added to the shutter. I think it looks very fancy. :)
I am very excited to share some projects using the new Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month set. The set is so fun...it is a car! This awesome set can be used to create 3D or "flat" projects.
Two projects were created for the set: one is a super sweet 3D pink and gold car. There are two blond gals in the car: my friend Christine and me. We are heading to the craft store in the styling car!
The second project is a card showcasing a fancy red convertible with "Enjoy the Ride" on the metal tire holder. I will share more pics further down but I have to share some other info first!
Have you seen the Butterfly Bliss Garden Shutters die set designed by Becca Feeken (Amazing Paper Grace) for Spellbinders? It is a very sweet die set that creates an interactive shutter style card.
The die set consists of 19 thin metal dies that you can use to create a unique card for someone special. I saw this die set and knew I had to have it! My cards will be taken to a whole new level with this set.
The inspiration for my card today is the soft nature of June. My garden has happy little flowers throughout the summer and the June flowers are light colored and delicate. The flowers host beautiful butterflies, bees, and other delightful wee creatures. A garden is truly a magnificent place!
For the card I used the following product designed by Becca Feeken:
Amazing Paper Grace Butterfly Bliss Garden die set (S6-183)
Amazing Paper Grace Tiara Rondelle (S5-342)
Also used was Spellbinders Hot Foil Be Bold Glimmer Sentiments (GLP-299)
The color choices are antique pink, ivory, gold, and white (vellum) as the colors are fresh and uplifting. The colors really bring out the intricate details of the shutter dies.
The butterflies are die cut in gold and ivory card stock as well as white vellum. I added some Nuvo Drops in White Blizzard to the butterfly wings. The butterflies are beautiful! The card corners are created using ivory card stock with the Tiara Rondelle die set. The corners are not necessary as the card looked lovely as is- I just wanted to add them as "landing spots" for more butterflies. :)
When the tab is pulled, the shutters flip up and the foiled Happy Birthday with another wee butterfly appears. I chose the opposite colors for the inside shutters- pink as the ornate die cut with an ivory background.
I adore how this card turned out and look forward to creating another! It was fun to make and the die set results in not only a unique but beautiful card.
