Graphic 45 Birthday mini-album

Hello Crafty Friends!

A couple of weeks ago I shared a tag album using Tammy Tutterow's Shortie Tag die set and Graphic 45's Midnight Masquerade papers.  Today I would like to share an even more mini album using another Tammy Tutterow Spellbinders die set (Mini Tag book) and Graphic 45's Time to Celebrate 8x8 papers.

The cake was fussy cut and elevated using foam tape.
 Roses and butterflies...beautiful combination.
A little vertical pocket holds a...
 ...sweet image.
Wee pockets hold three postage and a happy birthday greeting.
 The butterfly and balloons soar...
 The birthday "invitation" opens...
 A cute child image...
The album was secured with some scrap ribbon and ivory hemp.
Thank you very much for stopping by!  I do hope you enjoyed the wee tag album.  :)
Have a happy, crafty day.
Big Hugs,
Kathy Jo

Graphic 45 Raining Cats and Dogs bookmarks

Hello Crafty Friends!

Do you lose your bookmarks?  Sometimes my bookmarks are readily found for a year and then *poof!*- they vanish into thin air.  Lost bookmarks are replaced with sales receipts or folded post-it notes.  Finally a simple and obvious solution came to mind: "You have a lot of scrap paper so make your own bookmarks."  (Funny how it took this long to realize I can make my own.)  Yesterday I grabbed some scrap Graphic 45 Raining Cats and Dogs papers, Quietfire Design's Kitties Quotes marks, Hearts and Paw Stencil and made some happy bookmarks.

The bookmarks are 2" x 6".  This bookmark has a stamped sentiment that made me smile the first time I read it.
The back has inked paws
After my hubby saw the bookmarks I made for myself, he requested a "manly bookmark"
The back had a thin layer of paste used with the same paw stencil
I usually have two books on the go so another kitty book mark was made
The heart stencil was a perfect match
Below are all of the backs.
When all of the bookmarks were completed, a thin layer of Mod Podge was applied.

There are more stamps to the Quietifire Design stamp set:
Kitties Quote Marks, set of 7 stamps
The stencil has both sprays on it:
Hearts and Paw Prints Sprays - Stencil
I hope you enjoyed the bookmarks!  Maybe you will pull your scraps out to make some, too.

Have a happy, crafty day!
Big Hugs,
Kathy Jo

Graphic 45 Fashionista Roses card

Hello Crafty Friends!

In my last post I shared a mini tag album using recently purchased Graphic 45 Midnight Masquerade papers.  The papers were purchased from a local crafty store (such a wonderful purchase!).  The same day I visited another local crafty store and came across some gorgeous roses 12x12 papers.  Surprise!  The paper was from another Graphic 45 collection- Fashionista.  It was released in 2009 and I had never seen it before because I was not really into paper crafting at the time.  Well, I guess you know that I had to buy a few sheets of the paper.  An "anytime card" was the project I had in mind for it.
The fussy cut roses are the focal point of the card front.  Since I had no other papers from this collection, I turned to green patterned paper (Artisan Style) and blue plaid paper (By the Sea) to coordinate.
The green paper was die cut using Spellbinders' Triple Floral dies to create a lovely frame.
The beautiful butterfly is from Nature Sketchbook.
The inside is more of the patterned papers and a fussy cut bunch of roses.
A great card for my stash.  When the occasion arises I can easily grab the card and my favorite Quietfire Design stamp sentiment for the inside.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a happy, crafty day.
Big Hugs,
Kathy Jo

Graphic 45 Midnight Masquerade Mini Tag Album

Hello Crafty Friends!

A couple of weekends ago I visited a local crafty store to pick up a few sheets of each of the new Graphic 45 releases.  My plan of a few purchased sheets changed as soon as I saw the Midnight Masquerade collection.  A few sheets turned into the purchase of the 12x12 pad...and the 12x12 solids and patterns pad...and the tags and pockets.  I. Regret. Nothing.  :)

Afterward I visited a dollar store to purchase a purple boa and purple beaded trim.  Perfect matches!  That evening was our monthly Girls' Crafty Night and I brought the paper pads, the dollar store finds, Spellbinders dies (Tammy Tutterow's Shortie Tags and Victorian Bow) and Cheery Lynn's Mini French Pastry doily die.  At the end of the evening the album was almost completed!  It was a snap to put together and I love how it turned out.  Overall, I guess you could say it was an awesome crafty day!

Below are photos of the album from beginning to end.  I hope you enjoy it as much I I enjoyed making it!
A lot of fun fussy cutting was used on the album in addition to foam tape, Stickles and gems.  The feathers look great behind the beautiful masquerader.
Side angle of the front of the album.
The next two tag faces are below.  Throughout the album the tag faces coordinate with each other.
 The postage stamps are gorgeous.
In the center of one of the fan flowers are beads removed from the beaded trim.
 Stunning colors in the collection!
The doily die cut is a wonderful fit behind the mask.
Scrap pieces were cut using the Shortie tags edge trim and adhered to each tag bottom edge.
 Look at those luscious purples...
Of course I had to use another feather...
The die behind the mask is the smaller die from the Victorian Bow dies set.
Such imagery and details in this collection.
The last tag face...and I happily fussy cut many flowers for it.
The finishing touch was the ribbon/trim bundle around the tag ring and the bejeweled embellishment.
 A fun, wee tag album!
Thank you so much for stopping by!  Have a happy, crafty day!
Big Hugs,
Kathy Jo

Graphic 45 "Cherish" Scrapbook layout

Hello Crafty Friends!

Last weekend while in my craft room going through photos I came across this photo of my mom and I on my wedding day.  There are many beautiful memories of the day and I will always remember how my mom sang with the guitarist while photos were being taken.  It was a spontaneous moment for all as he strummed one of her favorite songs and she stood beside him to sing.  That was my mom.  She loved music and she sang so well.  I miss her so much and seeing this photo brought back all of those cherished memories.

She would have loved this scrapbook page for not only the photo but also the beautiful papers, calligraphy die, the white paint applied along edges and stenciled on the background, the paper flowers and the lace.
The Cherish die is from Elizabeth Craft Designs, designed by Suzanne Cannon.
The papers are all from Graphic 45's Gilded Lily collection.  White paint was used along edges and used with a TCW 12x12 background stencil.
The flowers were from my crafty stash (unknown).
The hearts were die cut from Spellbinders' Lace Hearts die set.  Other Spellbinders dies used: Ornamental Crest and Reverent Square.
Thank you for stopping by.  I do hope you enjoyed the layout and that you have a happy, crafty day.
Big Hugs,
Kathy Jo
