JustRite Sketch Challenge 99- You are in my garden of friends

Hello Crafteteers!

JustRite has a new challenge- create a project using their sketch as inspiration.

I started with the JR background stamp Floral Flourishes.  Versamark Watermark Stamp pad was used on the stamp and was then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  Tim Holtz's mowed lawn, peeled paint, tattered rose, fired brick and spiced marmalade were added as shown.  What a fun way to make patterned paper!

Over the background paper I secured a sheet of frosted vellum paper.  You can still see the background paper but it tones it down just a bit.  It was then assembled to a white card I made from Spellbinders 5x7  Detailed Scallops.

JR Poppies Labels Twenty Nine provided the sentiment and the poppies.  The sentiment was stamped on white paper, oval die cut and gold applied along the edge.  Spellbinders A2 Filigree Delight tag was die cut and distressed in the TH mowed lawn and peeled paint.  The sentiment was assembled to the tag with foam tape.  A small rectangle of white paper was die cut from Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A and then dry embossed a Lifestyle Crafts folder.  The rectangle also had gold applied along the edge. The poppies were stamped in black Versafine and then heat embossed.  The colors took some time to figure out.  I ended up using TH colors listed above and then I used the TH distress marker barn door for extra highlights on the petals.  Liquid pearls Lemon Yellow were used on the inside of the poppies and Stickles were applied for some emphasis. Another piece of white paper was cut from a smaller rectangle of the Spellbinders Scalloped set.  I added a strip of the background paper in the center.  Gems in green and clear were assembled in the areas shown.  Finally I made a triple ribbon from twine and white ribbon and attached to the poppies.

Thank you for stopping by and have a nice Wednesday!
