Happy Sunday, Crafters!
Yesterday was Scrapbooking Day and many sites online celebrated the happy event. Nova Scotia Scrappers (an online Facebook group for Nova Scotian paper crafters) celebrated with a day long event of hourly challenges. One of the challenges was to make a card using scrap paper. My card used scrap paper from my first purchased Graphic 45 paper pad, Birdsong. Love the Birdsong papers...I am on my third pad!
The base was a tent fold ivory card. Two layers of Birdsong were Zuttered along the edges and applied. A scrap piece of black paper was die cut using Cheery Lynn's French Pastry. The bird image was die cut with Spellbinders' circles die. Next, Birdsong paper was cut using Amazing Paper Grace's Flourish Two die. Wink of Stella in gold was applied to both die cuts.
Flowers were adhered to the right of the image and Stickles was applied to the petal edges. A double seam bow was added. Wink of Stella was applied to the bird wings. I haven't added sentiment to the inside yet- will keep it in my stash and save it for a birthday or thank you card.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great Sunday!
Hugs,
Kathy Jo

ReplyDeleteGorgeous card...there are so many interesting facets to it. The colors came together so well without overpowering one another, too.
ReplyDeleteHi, Kathi Jo, from one Birdsong lover to another, this is a fabulous design. I have three and a half birdsong pads in reserve! Interesting use of the die cuts and just a very well thought out design! Thanks for dropping this off by our house at 613 Avenue Create!
