Grunge car tag
Hello (again) Crafteteers!
This is my third post today. You all probably think I am obsessed but I did not have plans to do three posts in one day! I went up into my craft room to clean up the mess after making the other two cards...and I came across this lonely white tag...and this scrap ribbon...and my distress inks and...well, you see where this is going. I ended up making a tag and using unused items in my work area. I think Martha would say "That's a good thing". So here are the materials used: Tim Holtz distress inks walnut stain and vintage photo, Tim Holtz distress stain antique linen, Tim Holtz stamp sets Boundless Flight and Steampunk.
Are you wondering where the cool car came from? Local custom stamp maker Briana Corr Scott.(http://www.brianacorrscott.com/brianacorrscott/home.html ) She sells her stamps at the Saturday market in Dartmouth at Alderney Landing. The stamps are very inexpensive...shockingly good price, actually. She does not have all her stamps online so if you like this stamp, drop her a line and ask for the sports car stamp you saw on Kathy Jo's blog.
Thanks for stopping by and I promise no more posts today! :)
Have a great week!

ReplyDeleteLove your tag and it must feel good when you can use up things laying around . Love the car image this will make a great Father's Day gift tag .
ReplyDeleteHaHaHa ! I know EXACTLY how that happens ! It explains why I can almost never find the top of my desk. The strange thing is that when my desk is clean (every blue moon), I can't seem to create anything! The tag looks great, love the vintage race car!
ReplyDeleteIt was so fun to peek into your process of creating... I think many of us are like that... start to clean up then the next thing you know we are creating another project! Love your tag!
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining us at My Craft Spot!
Love how you made this from stuff that was sitting out waiting to be put away! That's usually when our muse strikes, when we are trying to accomplish something else! It came together beautifully. Love the car stamp:very retro mod looking!

LOL, sometimes, tags just happen. They sit there are on your desk with no purpose and then one day they get together with the other crafty stuff and they come up with their own idea of what you should do, truly I think they have a life of their own sometimes! Thank you SO much for visiting my blog, hugs and a wave from the hills of North Carolina ♥
ReplyDeleteKathy please drop my blog and pick up your Leibster Award . I know we have never met but I love visiting your blog and seeing all the beautiful things you create.
