Happy Weekend!
Last night I went to my besty's house- Janice's- for a crafty night with the girls. Lots of laughing, crafting...and food! We each brought our own project to work on and I decided to make a card for some current challenges.
The Kraft Journal this week has a sewing theme and I just happened to have purchased JustRite's Grandma's Attic Background Stamp last weekend (perfect timing!). A perfect background since it has the dress form, buttons, spools and sewing text on it. I stamped it out four times: twice on Kraft paper and twice on white paper. I cut out dress form twice and double foam taped it to the white background. The sentiment area was cut out on the white background paper and foamed onto the background. The sentiment "Thank you" is from JR set Winged Vintage Labels 2 and 3. Three black gems (more bling!) was used on the sentiment flag.
The card base is Kraft card stock die cut using one of my favorite Spellbinders die sets: 5x7 Elegant Labels 4.
Random embellishments were used as were pearls and gems. Stickles Tiara was applied on the dress form for some extra glitz. Various TH distress stains (antique linen, victorian velvet, barn door, worn lipstick, walnut stain, vintage photo) were applied as shown.
I tried to stick with different shades of pink, brown, black and glitz (lol) for an antique yet bright style. Hope you liked it!
Thanks so much for stopping by! And thanks for all of your kind comments...they make my day!
Have a wonderful weekend.
Kathy Jo

I am so jealous, I love that stamp and that die you used looks gorgeous as your card's base, and the way you embellished is just lovely! I just got some new sewing themed stamps too, and I think I'll be playing with them a lot. We'll have to get together and maybe make sewing themed cards!
