In the "happy" dog house
Hello Crafty Friends!
My hubby celebrated his birthday recently and our Saint Bernard, Teddy, asked if I could make a card for him. (big smile) The card had to be cute and sweet- just like their friendship. Yes, they are BFFs through and through: wherever Greg goes, Teddy follows. It warms the heart seeing those two together. Their BFF relationship was the inspiration for this happy card.
The card's focal point is the cute dog house stamped image from Penny Black. My Prismacolor pencils and gamsol were used to color the sweet scene.
The image was die cut using stitched square dies and mounted onto a tent fold card. The patterned papers are old and from my crafty stash (Basic Grey papers, perhaps). After all of the layers were adhered, clear Glossy Accents was applied to the dog bowl.
Greg really liked the card and thanked Teddy for the thoughtfulness. (That is what BFFs do.)
Thanks for stopping by! I do hope you enjoyed "Teddy's" card.
Have a happy, crafty day.
Big hugs,
Kathy Jo

"The best thing I ever did"...
Hello Crafty Friends!
It was my turn to share a project at Quietfire Creations and I created a card using the newly released "The best thing" stamp:
As I was stamping the quote, I thought of the many people and projects that could use the quote: a graduation card, a card for a student heading off to school, a person starting a new endeavor, an inspirational plaque, a journal, and, of course, a scrapbook page celebrating a milestone completed. (I am working on a journal now and this quote may be on the front cover.)
Instructions: please visit the blog post on Quietfire Creations. Listed below are the products used- just click on the image and the links will take you to the product.
