I don't need an inspirational quote...I need coffee!

Happy Monday!

After seven straight days of Christmas projects it feels strange to share something non-seasonal.  LOL.  Since it is Monday I thought it would be fitting to share a funny coffee card card.

The quote and coffee cup are from Quietfire Design's But first, coffee stamp set:
But First, Coffee, Set of 8 Stamps - Mounted
The background was created using the same technique I shared in a video a couple of weeks ago:

After the background was dry I stamped the quote using dark blue archival ink.
The coffee cup was applied to watercolor paper using the same ink.  After drying I colored the lid using a watercolor marker and then I fussy cut the image.  Washi tape was applied to the background and the coffee cup was mounted using double faced foam tape.  Gold Liquid Pearls was applied to the heart.
The quote is a hoot and the stamp set is perfect for coffee lovers!
Have an awesome Monday!

It is Day 6 of Christmas in July.  This week is speeding by!

Today's card is for the science geek on your Christmas list: Periodic Table Ho Ho Ho.  Suzanne has many Periodic Table digital files on the Silhouette site.  I gravitated to this file because of the nerdiness of it.  Yes, I am a nerd...and I am loving her Periodic Table files!

Day 5- Christmas in July! Prima Marketing Santa Baby and Quietfire

Hello Crafty Friends!

Day 5 of Christmas in July here and at Quietfire Creations.  Today's card is so simple yet so pretty!

When the new Prima Marketing Santa Baby was introduced, I knew I HAD to have it.  Yes, it was a crafty need.  The papers look soft, elegant, and happy.  Just what I would like to use on many of my Christmas projects this year.  Suzanne Cannon's beautiful calligraphy dies and stamps are a perfect pairing with the paper collection.

The card has the oh-so-sweet "warm wishes" from the Home for the Holidays stamp set:
Home for the Holidays Sentiments, Set of 5 - Mounted

Today's card is easy to make and lovely when complete.  Let's dive in to the instructions!

Card Instructions:
  1. Create side fold 4.25" x 5.5" card using white card stock.
  2. Cut desired image to size and apply copper marker along all edges (optional).  Mat onto white card stock.
  3. Cut background paper to size.
  4. Lay background paper and image onto card base.  Determine location for Warm Wishes stamp.  (If you have a Misti or similar, setup card and stamp as desired.)
  5. Use dark red ink and stamp Warm Wishes on background.
  6. Assemble background to card front.
  7. Assemble image to card front using double sided foam adhesive.
  8. Add gems around Warm Wishes.
  9. Add Stickles or Nuvo Crystal Drops to baubles on image.
There are many images in the 12x12 pad to use as card fronts.  If you have a stamping platform, you could quickly make several cards.
I hope you enjoyed this CAS card as much as I enjoyed sharing it.  Feel free to pop in tomorrow for another project.

Thanks for stopping by!

Have a happy, crafty day.
Big Hugs.

Day 4- Christmas in July! Merry Christmas shimmer and snowflakes

Wow!  This week is flying by!  Can you believe that it is already Day 4 of Christmas in July week?  Time flies when you are having fun!

Today's project used more of the beautiful calligraphy dies designed by Suzanne Cannon for Elizabeth Craft Designs.  The card is full of beauty, shimmer and, as an extra bonus, is easy to mail!

Card Instructions:

  1. Create top fold tent card using white card stock.
  2. Die cut several snowflakes using the Brrrrrrr and Snowflake die set.
  3. Mat and mount shimmer paper to card front.
  4. Die cut Merry Christmas 2 twice: once from blue shimmer card stock (or metallic construction paper) and from white card stock.  Use liquid adhesive to offset mount the dies to the front.
  5. Mount snowflakes as desired.
  6. Embellish snowflakes as desired.
This is project that can easily be mass produced and completed while you are watching one of your favorite programs.  Just cut all of your pieces ahead of time, grab your glue and embellies and have fun!

Kickoff to the Christmas in July...and GIVEAWAY!

Hello Crafty Friends!

This week Quietfire Design is having a Christmas in July celebration.  All week the Quietfire Creations blog will showcase Christmas projects.  My day to post on Quietfire Creations is tomorrow but I really got into the Christmas crafting and created many projects!  I thought I would share them with you all week, too.

My first card was created using the "have yourself a merry little Christmas" stamp from the similar named stamp set:
Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas - Set of 3 Stamps - Mounted
It is a three stamp set including the quote, snowy background and the tree.  I stamped the quote on white card stock using brown ink.
Also used on the card is the adorable deer from Prima Marketing's Santa Baby paper collection.  I cut the image to size, rounded the corners and applied the brown ink along the edges.  I applied white Nuvo Drops to the harness and Stickles to the hooves and antlers.

The card is quick to make and full of Christmas joy.
Hope you liked my first Christmas card of 2018!  More to be shared soon!

Don't forget to hop on over to Quietfire Creations and enter into the contest!  Good luck!
