Last week a friend of mine asked me to create a Mother's Day card for her mom. I had just finished watercoloring Penny Black's poppy stamp and asked my friend what she thought of it. She loved it so it became the focus of the card front. In lieu of adding "Happy Mother's Day" to the card front, I decided to use Quietfire Design's happy "love you" stamp from the Just for You stamp set:
The poppy was stamped using Jet Black Archival ink onto watercolor paper. It was colored using Tim Holtz' Distress markers. After drying, the image was die cut with Elizabeth Craft Designs' Stitched Rectangles.
Love you was also stamped with Archival Ink and die cut using Memory Box' Stitched Squares die. Three light pink pearls were added.
American Craft card stock was die cut using more stitched dies and adhered to a tent fold white card.
My friend's mom received the card, she said she loved it and will keep it on display for a long time. How nice! That made me very happy knowing that she will enjoy it. :)Hope you all are having a happy, crafty day!
Big Hugs,
Kathy Jo
