Hello Crafty Friends!
What an exciting summer this will be participating in Tim Holtz' Creative Chemistry classes. It will be fun to go through the first two courses again and I am so looking forward to the new class in August...woo-who!
Tim's first challenge is to create a project using four or more colors of Distress Ink. (Talk about a perfect excuse to get all inky!) For my project I created a tag using Distress Inks in Twisted Citron, Antique Linen, Broken China, Frayed Burlap, Squeezed Lemonade, Peacock Feathers and Picket Fence.
Water was flicked on the tag and dried with a heat tool. Twisted Citron was applied to white card stock and then torn. It was adhered on tissue tape (making sure that the imagination definition was shown on the tape). The sentiment (from Tim's "Possibilities" stamp set) was stamped using Archival Ink in Coffee.
Of course I had to use my two new Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits die sets (Wildflowers and Holiday Greens). Holiday Greens die cut white vellum and Wildflowers die cut white card stock. Wildflowers dies had Twisted Citron and Broken China inks applied. The top die cut was adhered using foam tape.
First challenge and homework completed! Thank you, Professor Holtz, for the fun homework/challenge! :)
Hope you enjoyed the tag. Thank you for stopping by and have a happy, crafty day!
Hugs,
Kathy Jo
