Purr-fect Birthday card

Happy Monday!

Another birthday card to share!  This card is for my brother-in-law.  He is as animal lover and when he stays at our home our furry family goes right up to him for attention.  It is so cute!

I had some help with this one: My Mind's Eye blog had a sketch challenge so I used the sketch as the layout for the card.  The paper is My Mind's Eye "On the Bright Side" and is perfect for a birthday card.  The sketch used vertical lines so I made sure to use the chevron paper on the vertical.  The card is Kraft paper and it was also used behind the image.  Ah, the image.  This stamp is so sweet!  It is Art Impressions Fur-ever Set.  Originally I wanted the cat as black and white (my cat, Pepper is black and white) but it did not photograph well so I went with grey.  Both animals were colored with pencils and gamsolled.  To add texture, I ran the denim paper and square Kraft paper through Cuttlebug folders Wicker Weave and Polka Dots, respectively.  The Happy Birthday stamp is a Michaels bin find.  The polka dot edge was made using Spellbinders Banner Basics Three.  Also used was Classic Squares (LG).  I applied different colored gems in the locations shown.

Only one more birthday card to make.  Then it is Father's Day x2 and an anniversary card!  Too fun!  :)

Have a great week and thanks so much for stopping by!
Hugs, Kathy Jo
