"Friendship isn't a big thing..." card using Cheery Lynn and Quietfire

Hello Crafty Peeps!

A quick post today to share a recently completed project.  I happily received a package in the mail this week that contained my new Cheery Lynn dies.  One of the die sets was the Pierced Banners dies and I am loving them!  This is my third project using the die set...so pleased with the purchase!
The card used the new stamped sentiment from Quietfire Design: Friendship isn't a big thing.
Friendship Isn't a Big Thing - Mounted
It was stamped using Distress Ink in Dusty Concord.  The banners used Dusty Concord and Shaded Lilac.  The doily dies are also from Cheery Lynn- French Pastry and French Pastry Tiny Doily.  The edges were embossed in gold.
Thanks so much for stopping by!  I do hope you enjoyed the card.  :)
Have a happy crafty day!
Big Hugs,
Kathy Jo

Here is a closeup of the sentiment.  Feel free to hop over to the blog for further details.
I could not end this post without showing off the new set.  Love it!

JustRite Challenge #92- Make It Pop!

Hello Crafteteers!

JustRite has a new Friday Challenge: Make It Pop!  The card not only has to be elevated but must also be a birthday card.  I cannot think of a better gift than a friend so for the card I used JustRite cling stamp "Special Gifts" from their Special Labels Twenty-Nine set CR-04350.  The paper is from my new paper pad Come Away With Me from My Mind's Eye.

The center was elevated with four strips of foam tape and the tall flowers surround one end of the lacy oval.  The center definitely pops off the surface of the card and the triple bow with butterfly fabric button completes the layout.

Stop by the JustRite site to check out the other Make It Pop cards...it is worth the trip!  http://justritestampers.typepad.com/justrite-inspiration/2013/03/justrite-friday-challenge-092-make-it-pop.html

Thanks for stopping by and stay crafty!  :)

Sweet Monkey Cards- Here's a hug, Love you this much

I am not monkeying around when I say this monkey stamp is just too sweet!  So sweet that he was used on two cards right away.

The first card is for my best friend, Kim.  A long distance hug from me to her... and hopefully seeing him will make her smile.

Front of card- the radius edge was created by tracing a cd

The next card is for my husband.  This could be a Valentine's Day card or just a card to let him know I am thinking of him.  Same sweet monkey...different message.
