Masculine Happy Birthday, JustRite Anchors Away

Hello Crafteteers!

My father-in-law's birthday card is finally finished.  So difficult doing masculine cards!  Luckily I have the JustRite stamp set Anchors Away on hand to use for "manly crafts".

JustRite Victorian Tile in blue on distress inked paper
Excluding the blue card stock used on the card itself and the die cut circle, all the other paper was white.  I used the Tim Holtz Scattered Straw on the white paper.  The background (JustRite's Victorian Tile), Happy Birthday and the sailboat with background were stamped using VersaFine's Majestic Blue and heat embossed.  (As an FYI: I so enjoy embossing JustRite background stamped images and using Tim Holtz Distress inks/stains!  What a cool look!)  Dies from JustRite (Vintage Labels and Banner, Nested Medallion) were used to cut the stamped items. Tim Holtz's Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain were applied to edges.  Spellbinders' Splendid Circles die cut the blue card stock and more distress ink was applied.  A clear pearl pen added depth to the rope on the JustRite sailboat background. A strip of brass tape was used under the elevated die cuts.  Voila!  The masculine card.  :)

Thanks for stopping by and stay crafty!
