The Christmas Flourishes Collection Intro Blog Hop!

 

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today is an exciting day as it is release day for the new Christmas Flourishes Collection design by Becca Feeken for Spellbinders.  Oh- this collection is full of gorgeous dies and a coordinating embossing folder that will help you create beautiful cards and projects that your loved ones will treasure.

Today's projects created were used with dies provided by Amazing Paper Grace.

For my project I chose the Merry Flourish die set (S4-1243):

And the Holly Flourish embossing folder (SES-046):

Right away I wanted to create a card with the classic Christmas colors of red, green, gold, and white.  The dies were used to cut metallic card stock as the shimmer of the card stock is reminiscent of the shiny bulbs hung on tree boughs.

I cut the main die twice: once using red card and the Merry insert and once using gold card stock without the Merry insert.  They were offset adhered using glue.

While the two adhered die cuts were drying, I dry embossed white card stock using the Holly Flourish embossing folder.  Another white card stock was die cut using the Hemstitch Rectangles (S5-308) The embossed paper was cut to size and then outlined using a gold leafing pen.  It was all mounted onto a red tent fold card using double sided adhesive tape and foam tape. 

The now dry Merry die cuts were mounted using liquid glue on the detailed areas and a small piece of foam tape under the Merry.

A beautiful bulb was created using three of the dies.   It was mounted to the card front using foam tape.  A sweet double green bow was hot glued to the top of the bulb.

The finishing touch was wee gems to the bulb and on the Merry scrolls.

The Right Words "My Sweet Friend" pretty in pink card

 

Hello Crafty Friends!

It is my favorite crafty day of the week- Thursday.  Today is the day I get to share a new project using Amazing Paper Grace dies from Spellbinders.  This week I wanted to share a "sweet" card using the My Sweet Friend die set, S5-512.

I think this may be my favorite set in the Right Words Collection and that is a big statement because I adore the other sets, too!  This set is great for a friend or baby card.  Of course, you can use it with other dies in the collection.  Imagine using it with Thank you for your Kindness set and making "You are so Sweet".  :)

I immediately went to the card stock in pink and metallic and glitter rose gold.  It all pops against the white:

The Hemstitch Dies in Ovals (S5-332) and Rectangles (S5-308) were layered under the Sweet Friend die set.  Of course, I placed the pretty flower in the center of the bow.  A little extra pretty on the card.  :) 

Admittedly, I was beyond happy when I completed this card.  It is very easy to create a beautiful card with Becca Feeken designed die sets.

NEW RELEASE! Elizabeth Craft Designs "Thank you"

Hello Sweet Crafty Friends!

It has been a busy week here at I’m a Little Teapot sharing projects using Newly Released product from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  Let’s keep the fun times rolling with another project using a newly released die: Thank You 2.

 

I like this die- not only because of the curvaceous calligraphy- but the size.  It fits many of my smaller card dies which means that I can have it framed on a smaller card.  Isn’t it just lovely inside the framed die cut?

Card instructions:

1.       Create top fold card using white card stock.

2.       Cut and mat patterned paper to card front.  (I also applied gold marker to the mat edges.)

3.       Die cut pink card stock using Tallulah Frill Lace Frame die.  Mount to card front.

4.       Die cut patterned paper using Hemstitch Rectangle die.  (I also applied gold marker to edges.)  Mount to card front using double faced foam tape.

5.       Die cut pink and gold card stock using Thank You 2 die.  Offset mount to card front using liquid adhesive.

6.       Create double bow and mount to front using liquid adhesive.  Mount embellishment to bow center.

The romantic and vintage layers look fabulous as the frame for the gorgeous Thank You die cut.

"Celebrate" Rose stamped gift box

Hello Crafty Friends!

It is Victoria Day in most of Canada which means a three day weekend for many of us.  The weekend has been great so far: on Saturday my friends and I attended an all day charity crop.  I did not get a lot of crafting done but had a fun time laughing and talking to friends.  How has your weekend been?  Have you crafted or been with friends and family?

Today I am popping in to share a gift box I created using Altenew stamps, Elizabeth Craft "Congrats" die and Spellbinders gift box die.  The box die is designed by Becca Feeken and has been on my wish list for a while.  I was so happy to have won on one of Becca's blog hops and I immediately picked the long wished for die set.  This box is my first creation using the set.

First, I stamped the flowers onto white card stock using Altenew inks and stamps.  After drying, I die cut it using the box dies.

 A coordinated green crinkle ribbon was wrapped around the box and a single bow adhered to the front.  "Congrats" die cut black card stock and adhered to the box top.  (Love how it pops against the beautiful rose background!)

So lucky to have won this die set!  I have more plans for this box so stay tuned!

"What greater thing is there" love card using Becca Feeken and Quietfire Design

Hello Crafty Friends!  Happy Friday!

How has your week been?  Have you crafted at all or purchased new crafty goodies to play with on the weekend?  It is that time of year when thoughts turn to spring so perhaps you are working with flowers?  The card I am sharing today has flowers, happy colors, beautiful dies and a gorgeous calligraphy stamp from Quietfire Design.

 After creating the card base, I embossed ivory card stock and cut it to size.  A gold metallic marker was applied along the edges.  Next, I die cut pale yellow card stock using Becca Feeken's Annabelle's Trousseau die.

Quietfire Design's What Great Thing Is There stamp was applied to ivory card stock using Jet Black Archival Ink.  It was die cut using Becca Feeken's Hemstitch Ovals die and edged with a gold marker.

White seam binding was dyed using Distress Ink in Twisted Citron.  It was mounted onto the card front and a wee twine bow adhered.  Three coordinating flowers were added as the final touch.

Such a lovely quote and the dies are stunning!

"In a perfect world you would live next door"

Hello Crafty Friends.

The past couple of days I shared home decor projects so I thought today I would change things up a bit and share a non-decor project: a pretty pink and gold card using Quietfire Design, Becca Feeken (Spellbinders) and Graphic 45 product.  (Probably my favorite paper crafty combination!)

Two new Becca Feeken die sets were used on the card: Cinch and Go Flowers III and Ornamental Arch.  The Ornamental Frame was used to die cut ivory and gold card stock.  The large die in the same set was used to die cut the card base.  Such a pretty shape!  And the card base has three lovely shaped flowers from the Cinch and Go Flowers III set.  The center are stamen from Heartfelt Creations:

The gorgeous sentiment is from Quietfire Design's In a Perfect World stamp set.  It was stamped and heat embossed in gold onto vellum paper.  All patterned papers are from Graphic 45's Mon Amour collection.

Aren't the pinks, ivory and gold beautiful together?  Suzanne's (from Quietfire Design) calligraphy is stunning and looks fabulous with Becca's lovely dies and the timeless Graphic 45 papers.

Hello Crafty Friends!

Last month I was fortunate enough to attend Creativation in Phoenix.  Wow!  It was non-stop fun seeing all the soon-to-be released product, new-to-me product, and visiting my favorite brand booths.  One booth that was almost new-to-me was Altenew.  I had seen some of their product before in stores but had not really seen the beautiful projects created using their product.  The Altenew layered flowers projects were gorgeous!  After leaving Creativation I decided to buy a stamp and die set and try it out for myself.  Today I am sharing the first project using stamps and dies from the Garden Treasure set.

Instructions:

1. Create a top fold card using pale blue card stock. Round corners.  Apply gold marker along edges.
2. Die cut white card stock using Becca Feeken's Emmeline Treillage die and Tallulah Frill die.  
3. Die cut Emmeline Treillage using the rectangle die from Hemstitch Rectangles.  Die cut green card stock using same die.
4. Mount all die cuts to card base using liquid adhesive.
5. Stamp flowers onto white card stock using desired inks.  After drying, die cut.
6. Mount flowers to card base using liquid adhesive.  For more dimension, use thin double sided foam tape for leaves and thicker double sided foam tape for rose.
7. Add Stickles to center of flowers.  Add pale blue pearls to center of Emmeline background flowers.
8. Create bow and adhere using liquid adhesive.  Add gold button to bow center using liquid adhesive. 

It was a good time in the craft room stamping out the roses in different colors.  I just placed an order for some of the Altenew inks (the colors quite lovely) and will share a project or two after the order arrives.
