"What greater thing" Love/wedding card
Hello Crafty Friends!
Today is my day to post at Quietfire Design and I created a love/wedding card for my post. The card used Elizabeth Craft Designs beautiful die called Lace Pocket. Oh my. As soon as I saw it, I knew that it would be perfect for cards and scrapbooking projects. I played for a while with the new die and ended up creating the card. The die works so well with Quietfire Design quotes! The new stamp from Quietfire Design, What greater thing, is the focus of the card front.
All of the colored card stock is also from Elizabeth Craft Designs. The flowers are from Recollections and the wrinkle ribbon from the Quietfire Design store.
Feel free to hop on over to Quietfire Design to see more photos of the card.
Thanks for stopping by! I do hope you enjoyed the card. :)
Have a happy, crafty day!
Big Hugs,
Kathy Jo

Such beautiful calligraphy and what a lovely sentiment! Perfect for a wedding card, scrapbook page, or a wedding invite.
The blue patterned paper is from Graphic 45's Botanical Tea collection. Dies used: Spellbinders Opulent Ovals and Becca Feeken's Graceful Floral Lace.

2017 Queen of Hearts Blog Hop
Welcome to the Quietfire Design's 2017 Queen of Hearts Blog Hop!
This week we're celebrating the release of the newest dies, stencils and stamps from Quietfire Design by sharing our best projects!
My project for the blog hop is a scrapbook page for our wedding album. The page used the new die set "Sweet Smiles"
and Quietfire Design's "Together Forever" stamp
The die set and stamp are a perfect pairing for the wedding's cake cutting photo.
The stamp is so lovely. Suzanne's calligraphy is beautiful!
Aren't the dies and stamp gorgeous?!
The papers used are from Graphic 45's A Ladies' Diary set.
An ornate metal key and a heart doily were added to a corner.
Black card stock was used for the dies. Love how the dies pop against the paper! The stamp is so lovely. Suzanne's calligraphy is beautiful!

Fairy Tale Wedding card
Happy Sunday, Crafters!
Yesterday a friend of ours was married. Of course I had to make a card but I did not want to make it too over the top girly so I set restrictions on myself: two layers, no bows, no Stickles and no flowers. I did not adhere to the two layers restriction but it did fit in a standard envelope! :)
The stamp was from Quietfire's Valentine's Day/Love stamp set. It was die cut using Spellbinders Ovals and the edge had silver applied. The next layer was Spellbinders' Elegant Ovals. Four corners from Spellbinders Gold Elements was adhered as shown. The lovely background paper was from Basic Grey's Little Black Dress. Of course, I added some gems...but not a lot! I showed very good restraint. :) And although I reached for my Stickles, I resisted the urge and did not apply any. (However, I made a card immediately after this one and I made sure to use the Stickles at will. LOL)
In case you do not know the Quietfire stamp set, it is shown below. It is a sweet set!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!
Hugs,
Kathy Jo

CAS wedding card- Craftin Desert Divas DT challenge card
Helllloooo Crafters!
The design team has been busy with a new challenge over at Craftin' Desert Divas: Say it with a Sentiment. Awesome challenge! And I had just the card for it...
Recently I was asked to make a wedding card for a work colleague. I said yes, of course, but then quickly realized I never made a wedding card before! Luckily I own a couple of JustRite stamp sets and I just happened to have three sets that worked for this card: Vintage Pearls Labels ("To have and to hold"- sentiment on the card front), Kindness (the gorgeous stamped background surrounding the front sentiment), and Antique Valentine Tags One (the fancy heart scroll and "Congrats" sentiment on the inside). All of the stamped images were embossed in silver and Stickles was applied to add more shimmer.
Spellbinders Labels 20 was used on the front and inside, as shown. The pretty lattice paper is from My Mind's Eye mini pad, Be Amazing.
So there you have it- my first wedding card! Guess what else it is? My first design team member post for Craftin' Desert Divas! YAY!!!
The challenge runs for two weeks and I hope to see your project in it! :)
Thanks for stopping by and have a good week!
Hugs,
Kathy Jo
