Happy Sunday, Sweet Crafty Friends.
Did you know that Mermaids are very wise? I had no idea until I saw this quote. :) Isn't it great? I think we should all be Mermaids in this large, fishy ocean!
The stamp set is from Crafter's Companion. Actually, there are a couple of different stamps to the Mermaid set but I only used the silhouette set for this card. The quote was so sweet that I had to make sure that it was elevated off the card for a little bit of extra emphasis.
The background used the new Spectrum Noir Sparkle Jars. If you are familiar with the Sparkle brushes then you will be happy to know that now the Sparkle ink is available in jars so that you can use a wider brush and create a background such as on this card. The results are sparkly and stunning. Such wonderful colors with a glimmer finish!
For extra details, I used my Nuvo drops to make fish bubbles and water lines. It looks so neat in person.
Spectrum Noir Water Reactive inks were used to dye the seam binding. The purple metallic papers are also from Crafter's Companion.
Hope you enjoyed the card, my Mermaid Friends!
Thank you for stopping by!
Have a happy, crafty day.
Big Hugs!

Beautiful Vellum Butterflies card
Hello Crafty Friends!
Happy Saturday! Are you planning to craft today or head to your favorite crafty store? Oh- I so enjoy the weekend spending time with the hubby, my furry family...and crafting when I can. Yes, weekends are the best!
Sharing a card today that recently aired on HSN in the U.S. It was a sample created using papers from Crafter's Companion Flutterby collection. There is a gorgeous vellum sheet of white butterflies that I just had to use. I fussy cut out three of the butterflies and then applied Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend markers to the underside. Aren't the butterflies pretty?
The metallic paper is from the same collection and the gate die is also from Crafter's Companion.
A sweet little double bow and the card was complete! This card would be great to try in different colors, too. There are a lot of butterflies on each vellum sheet so you can create many cards.
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a happy, crafty day.

Crafter's Companion Foil Monogram card
Hello Crafty Friends!
Have you seen the foil machine from Crafter's Companion? It is a fun tool that can add even more splendor to your crafty projects. The foiling is addictive and time seems to fly when you are playing with the machine. I set it up one Saturday and planned on foiling for 30 minutes. Next time I looked up at the clock 3 hours had flown by! Time does fly when you are having fun!
My first foil project to share is a sweet monogram card. It was created using the simplistic foil stamp dies and letters.
The foil sheets are available in many colors from silver to rose gold to red and light blue. Today's card used the gold. Gorgeous!!
Foiling is a good way to use up scrap pieces. When I foil I pull out my paper scrap bin and look for ways to use those scrap papers that I just could not recycle. Finally... those wee scraps are getting used!
Thank you for stopping by!

Video Tutorial and new release! Watercolor "Best view"
The HSN show is fast approaching for new Crafter's Companion product. Have you visited the Fan's of Crafter's Companion on Facebook to see all of the product samples and projects other crafters have created? Some of them are just jaw dropping gorgeous. Don't you just love seeing other crafter's creations?
Today I am sharing another card created using a newly released Crafter's Companion product: The Best View stamp. The stamp is from a four piece set:
The stamp is another inspirational quote that I wanted to use on a bright and happy project. I went with a sweet watercolor hill scene with lovely flowers and beautiful sky.
If you would like to learn how to make the card, I created a YouTube video showing the steps. Feel free to see below or follow the link here.
The card would be nice framed and given as a gift for a dear friend or family member.
Hope you enjoyed the video and card!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Have a happy, crafty day.

New Crafter's Companion Release! "Go where your Dreams take you"
Hello Crafty Friends!
How is your day? Are you taking time to craft? Or looking for crafty inspiration? I have a fun day in store: my little niece is coming over for a visit and we are making cards for her grandparents. It will be a time filled with creativity, smiles and ink. :)
Before she comes over, I wanted to share a card using one of the newly released stamps from Crafter's Companion. Just like yesterday's stamp, today's stamp is part of a set:
The base of the project is a pocket card created using the Royal Lattice die set. It was die cut in black, formed and then Spectrum Noir Metallic Wax (in pink) applied. Next, I used the Provence Oval die set (also used on yesterday's card) to cut lilac pearl card stock and gold luxury card stock (both from Crafter's Companion). The quote was stamped onto the gold oval and heat embossed in black. The frame was mounted directly onto the card front. The oval sentiment had foam tape applied to the center and double sided tape just at the ends.
Next, seam binding was dyed using coordinating Harmony Water Reactive ink, dried, and adhered to the front.
Another project on my project list is to make a similar card but use ivory card stock and another stamp from the collection- like the "Be your own kind of beautiful". Will make sure to share when it is done. :)Thank you for stopping by!
As always, have a happy crafty day.
Big Hugs,
Kathy Jo

New Crafter's Companion release! "Angel Feathers"
Another day...another Crafter's Companion share. The card today is using another new quote stamp, Angel Feathers. It is part of a stamp set with two other stamps, watermark ink and embossing powder:
Of course I had to use feathers on the card! I picked up a bag of white feathers from the dollar store (bargain!) to use behind the quote. Oh- and the wood grain paper (from the newly released Sew Homemade paper pad) had the floral background foil die used in gold. It really adds more sparkle and pretty details to the card:
The elegant ovals are from the previously released collection, Provence. It was die cut/embossed twice and placed behind the sentiment. What a lovely die. I find I have been using it again and again so I should just keep it on my craft table. :)
Thanks for stopping by! I do hope you enjoyed the project and that you are enjoying the daily project shares.
Have a happy, crafty weekend!
Big Hugs,
Kathy Jo

Crafter's Companion Release! Elegant, lovely layers!
Hello Crafty Friends. Happy Friday!
Are you getting excited about the upcoming Crafter's Companion shows on HSN? I know I am! I enjoy seeing all of the new Crafter's Companion products, demonstrations, and samples.
One of the new releases is a paper crafting collection, Sew Homemade. The collection is full of pretty papers, delightful dies and sweet stamps. Today's project uses various pieces from the collection...but I wanted to show the versatility of the collection by creating something a little out of the box. I hope you enjoy!
All the papers are from the new collection. The cut/emboss folder was fussy cut along the top and bottom. Spectrum Noir Metallic Wax in gold was applied as shown. The lovely tag is from the same collection. (It has three different sentiments to choose from.) I highlighted the Thank You with a red Spectrum Noir Alcohol marker. The little gold key is from the embellishment pack.
After layering the card I added a double bow and flowers. More gold wax was applied tips of the flower petals. The finishing touch was red pearl drops added around the center cutout and on various raised details.
Interested in the collection? Be sure to pop on the HSN site for the new releases. :)

Hello Crafty Friends!
For the next week I will be sharing projects using the newly released product from Crafter's Companion. The product are available now at the HSN site and will also be shown on HSN on March 27 and 28.
Today's card uses a newly released sentiment set: True Friends are never apart. It is part of a multi set:
Card Instructions:

- Cut Aqua Paper to desired size.
- Apply Spectrum Noir water reactive inks Straw bale, Honey Pot, and Fuchsia to the card front starting with the lightest color in the center and blending your way out to the darkest.
- Use Spectrum Noir Finesse water proof ink pad to stamp sentiment on card front.
- Apply Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen to color heart.
- Mat onto yellow card stock and mount to card front using double sided adhesive foam tape.
- Die cut red corners using corner die/emboss set and red card stock. Mount to card corners as shown.
Isn't it bright and cheerful? A great friend sentiment and (hopefully!) card. :)

New Release! Crafter's Companion Bees in the Border Layering stamps!
Hello Crafty Friends!
It is new release time for Crafter's Companion and it is fully of crafty goodness. The product will be shown on HSN (in the U.S.) on March 27 and 28. At the end of this post there are links to some of the product currently available.
The first project I will share using the new product is a cute little bumble bee background layering stamp. This is a 3 stamp set and I used all three for the card. However, you do not need to use all three on your backgrounds. I tried out the stamps in different combos and they all look great.
On my card I used three different Spectrum Noir Fast Drying inks. After drying, I added glitter to some flower petals and centers. The bees bodies had glossy accents applied for even more depth.
The bow was created using seam binding dyed from Spectrum Noir Water Reactive inks. As a side note, and what is an extra nicety for the inks, is that Spectrum Noir offers the same colors in both water reactive and fast drying inks. YAY!
The background is full of happy details and helps to create a joyful any time card.
Crafter's Companion product used:
Layering Background stamp- Bees in the Border (not available yet!)
Spectrum Noir Water Reactive inks
Spectrum Noir Fast Drying inks
Royal Lattice dies (not available yet!)
Spectrum Noir Aqua paper (not available yet!)
Thanks for stopping by! Have a happy, crafty day.
