Introducing the 3D Vignette Collection!!

Hello Crafty Friends!

You know when you have exciting news that you cannot tell anyone right away but you cannot wait to share?  Well, the newly released Spellbinders 3D Vignette Collection was exciting news I could not wait to share!   It is another fabulous vintage style die set collection designed by Amazing Paper Grace and is available now at Spellbinders.  (Yay!)  This is not a Die of the Month Collection so you can order it without signing up for the Die of the Month Club.

There are four sets in this collection: a fun retro television, a sweet doghouse, an uplifting hot air balloon, and a twin lens camera.  You can check out the collection here:  The 3D Vignette Collection.

Dies provided by Amazing Paper Grace were used in today's creations.

For my projects I used the Twin Lens Camera die set:
The thought put into the design of the camera front dies details are phenomenal!  It is quite easy to put together, too.  If you require assembly instructions, hop on over to the Spellbinders store and select the die set from the collection (
3D Vignette Collection).  Scroll to the bottom of the product description and you will see the link to the assembly instructions pdf.

I created the 3D project first and could not help but smile when it was complete.  It is a camera that I wish to own...but unlike other cameras this one can be folded flat and mailed in a standard envelope.  😊

Isn't it the cutest camera?  The dies were used with rose gold metallic, rose gold glitter, ivory, white, and black card stock.  Scrap script paper was used for the wee flower.  I used liquid adhesive and foam tape to assemble the pieces.

Did you notice the Oh Snap tabbed paper peeking out from the right side?  That's right...there are tabbed cards in the set that are tucked into the side of the camera.  You can use the inserts to adhere photos or journal.  (I plan on cutting more of the inserts to use in my journals.)
This project would be a great memory piece/gift for someone special.  Just imagine it in pastel colors with baby photos- a great gift for a grandparent.

My next project is a coordinating card.  I thought it would be a fun birthday card and look at how sweet it turned out!
The black tent fold card base had pink card stock and ivory embossed (Holly Flourish, SES-046) card stock layered.  Next, I created the camera front using cute pink/ivory gingham paper, ivory card stock, and rose gold card stock.  Check out the camera front details.  You can really see the details in the ivory die cut pieces and the screw heads:
I used foam tape to add some height to both lens and to the entire camera.
The Oh Snap was used again because the card inside will state: "...it is your birthday and you look fabulous!"
Instead of the flower I used the butterfly from the Butterfly Bliss Garden Shutters die set.
Both projects are bright and cheery! I think the recipients will be as happy to receive them as I was making them.

Amazing Paper Grace October Die of the Month!

Hello Crafty Friends!

Have you seen the new Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month?  Two words: Gor-geous!  It is called Poinsettia Surprise Envelope and full of the loveliest dies that can be used to create a beautiful 3D envelope or stunning holiday card.

The poinsettia dies and graceful flourish are striking in red and gold (my favorite holiday color combo).  I also ran the dies through in other colors- pink, pastel green, and gold were another exquisite color combo, as was gold and white.  It was difficult to choose what I wanted to show off first!  😊  After the tough decision I chose the traditional red and gold...but stay tuned as I did create another project using the pink and pastel dies!

Today's projects were created with the dies supplied by Amazing Paper Grace.

There are 22 cutting dies included in the 3D Poinsettia Surprise Envelope.

I started with the 3D envelope.  This little delight will be happily displayed on my desk at work spreading holiday cheer to all that walks by.

The base and holly swirls were made from Kraft card stock and the background in white card stock.  The wee red holly were die cut in red and adhered.  The poinsettia were die cut from red card stock and red metallic card stock.  After layering the dies, I added Stickles to the poinsettia centers.

Some of the poinsettias were adhered using glue and others using foam tape.

The finishing touch was a triple white bow and red/white gem.

Next on the crafty list was a coordinating card.

A top fold 4.25 x 5.5 card base was created using red card stock.  Embossed white card stock was mat mounted onto gold and then mounted to the card base.

The swirl dies were triple die cut and mounted using glue in the locations shown.  Three poinsettia were mounted using foam tape and glue.  A Merry Christmas banner was assembled using foam tape (one small piece in the center) and glue on each end.  A gold triple bow was assembled with a cute button in the center.  Stickles were added to the poinsettia centers.

I really like how the projects turned out!  I will make more in different colors and share.

The Christmas Flourishes Collection Intro Blog Hop!

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today is an exciting day as it is release day for the new Christmas Flourishes Collection design by Becca Feeken for Spellbinders.  Oh- this collection is full of gorgeous dies and a coordinating embossing folder that will help you create beautiful cards and projects that your loved ones will treasure.

Today's projects created were used with dies provided by Amazing Paper Grace.

For my project I chose the Merry Flourish die set (S4-1243):
Right away I wanted to create a card with the classic Christmas colors of red, green, gold, and white.  The dies were used to cut metallic card stock as the shimmer of the card stock is reminiscent of the shiny bulbs hung on tree boughs.
I cut the main die twice: once using red card and the Merry insert and once using gold card stock without the Merry insert.  They were offset adhered using glue.

While the two adhered die cuts were drying, I dry embossed white card stock using the Holly Flourish embossing folder.  Another white card stock was die cut using the Hemstitch Rectangles (S5-308) The embossed paper was cut to size and then outlined using a gold leafing pen.  It was all mounted onto a red tent fold card using double sided adhesive tape and foam tape.

The now dry Merry die cuts were mounted using liquid glue on the detailed areas and a small piece of foam tape under the Merry.

A beautiful bulb was created using three of the dies.   It was mounted to the card front using foam tape.  A sweet double green bow was hot glued to the top of the bulb.

The finishing touch was wee gems to the bulb and on the Merry scrolls.

Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month- 3D Vignette Gumball Machine!

Hello Crafty Friends!

Oh- I enjoy sharing projects using the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month.  This month's set is no exception: 3D Vignette Bubble Gum Machine.  It is so stinking cute!  It brings me back to the young toddler Kathy Jo years when I would grocery shop with my mom.  At the end of the check out lines were a row of the candy machines and I would ask my mom for a coin.  I think the bubble gum machines gave a few gumballs for a quarter.  The sugary flavor would last for about a minute and then the bubble forming time began.  By the time we would arrive home the gum would be flavorless and too stiff to make bubbles any more.  But it did not matter to me.  Sure enough, the next grocery visit I would ask for another coin and the process repeated.  Funny the things we remember!

Those memories inspired the two projects I am sharing today.  One is a card using the quintessential red gumball machine.  The other is a fun, 3D pink metallic gumball machine.

The dies were supplied by Amazing Paper Grace to create today's projects.

There are 26 cutting dies included in the Pop Up 3D Vignette Bubble Gum Machine.

DOMAPG-SEPT22

Supplies:
Amazing Paper Grace September 2022 Die of the Month – Pop Up 3D Vignette Bubble Gum Machine.
Metallic card stock in red, pink, silver, and gold
Card stock in red, green, blue, yellow, white and also in pastel colors.
Nuvo Drops- clear
Foam tape
Adhesives- tape, glue
White ribbon

Let's start with the red gumball machine card.  This is how I remember the gumball machine: shiny, red, some silver metal, and shiny gumballs inside whispering to me "Kathy Jo...ask your mom for a quarter..."
I made sure to pop up some of the gumballs using small foam pads.  All of the gumballs have a layer of Nuvo Clear Drops applied.  I really like how the gumballs turned out!  And check out the gold coin and handle details!  Becca definitely captured the details of a gumball machine.

(Did you notice the die cut phrase?  "Stuck on you".  I sang the Lionel Ritchie song for days after creating the card.  Great song!)

The next project is a sassy gumball machine in a metallic pink with pastel gumballs.  Really- why not?  I would like to have a pink gumball machine...at my work desk!  Every Monday morning I could pop into my cubicle, happily turn the handle, and chew a sweet little gumball.  What a fun way to start a work week: a little nostalgia, a little sugar, and a little fun.
The pink gumball machine is 3D.  I made sure each layer used the metallic pink card stock and had the gumballs assembled.  I also popped up the gumballs using foam tape.

It was topped off with a lovely triple bow.  Again, this die set is so stinking cute.  Makes my heart smile!  Check out the phrase on this project: "I chews you".  LOL.

The Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month is available exclusively at Spellbinders Paper Arts during September 2022, Pop Up 3D Vignette Bubble Gum Machine along with other membership perks.

The Right Words "Happy birthday"

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I am sharing a gilded Happy Birthday card using the Happy Occasions Words die set designed by Amazing Paper Grace for Spellbinders.  It is a great set for occasions throughout the year:

The die set goes well with the Sweet Leaf Mini Slimline die set:
It is the perfect background to add some pretty flowers and leaves to your birthday card!  And feel free to add a flower to the bow center:

Isn't it bright and cheery?  I am looking forward to giving it to the recipient!

The Right Words "My Sweet Friend" pretty in pink card

Hello Crafty Friends!

It is my favorite crafty day of the week- Thursday.  Today is the day I get to share a new project using Amazing Paper Grace dies from Spellbinders.  This week I wanted to share a "sweet" card using the My Sweet Friend die set, S5-512.

I think this may be my favorite set in the Right Words Collection and that is a big statement because I adore the other sets, too!  This set is great for a friend or baby card.  Of course, you can use it with other dies in the collection.  Imagine using it with Thank you for your Kindness set and making "You are so Sweet".  :)

I immediately went to the card stock in pink and metallic and glitter rose gold.  It all pops against the white:

The Hemstitch Dies in Ovals (S5-332) and Rectangles (S5-308) were layered under the Sweet Friend die set.  Of course, I placed the pretty flower in the center of the bow.  A little extra pretty on the card.  :)
Admittedly, I was beyond happy when I completed this card.  It is very easy to create a beautiful card with Becca Feeken designed die sets.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I do hope you enjoyed the card.
Have a happy, crafty day.
Big hugs,
Kathy Jo

New Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month Release!

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I am excited to share the newly released Amazing Paper Grace Die of The Month for July.  This is a fabulous die set that can be used to create the most beautiful cards and paper projects.

It was difficult to choose what I wanted to create with the die set- Birthday card, any day card, Christmas card, or Wedding card?  I could not decide so I made a birthday party favor and a sweet Hello card.  But before I get to more photos I have to say the following (but if the die set was not supplied I would have bought it because it is an awesome set!):

Today's creations were created with the dies supplied by Amazing Paper Grace.

There are 13 cutting dies included in the Tiara Trifold.

My first project was the pretty "Hello" card.  The die details make it look like an intricate, time consuming card but it was not time consuming.  The dies make it easy to create a stunning card!

The next project was a sweet birthday party favor.  It was created using gold and white vellum, white card stock, metallic card stock, and acrylic.

The party favor can also be used to hold a battery powered tea votive "candle".  It would look so nice as a table centerpiece.
Oh!  And add some extra glam to the trellis die cut by putting wee gems or Nuvo Drops on the trellis intersections.  I added white Nuvo Drops to the Hello card.
Supplies:

Amazing Paper Grace S4-1206 Happy Occasions Words
The Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month is available exclusively at Spellbinders Paper Arts during July 2022, Tiara Trifold along with other membership perks.
