Hello!
I do hope you all had a great Sunday. It was absolutely gorgeous here in Nova Scotia. We took our Saint Bernard, Ella, for a nice long walk at the dog park and it was just the best weather- not a cloud in the sky and the sun offset the occasional cool breeze. It was a magnificent day.
Onto crafty time: The JustRite challenge #106 ends this Wednesday. The challenge is to use the colors Orange, Olive and Violet on a project.
For my project I decided to use an ivory card base die cut using one of the two new dies I purchased from the JR Spellbinders sale last month: Captivating Squares. Green was die cut from the other JR Spellbinders die I purchased: Botanical Swirls. Ivory was die cut using Spellbinders Medallion Four and was assembled under the die cut (JR Vintage Labels Three) stamped with Winged Vintage Labels Two and Three in light violet. "Something Just For You" (JR Winged Vintage set again) was stamped using VersaFine's Olympia Green. The spray of flowers from JR set Botanical Butterflies was colored and fussy cut then assembled as shown. Stickles was applied in the flower centers. Orange pearls were applied to the Medallion die and the ribbon.
The inside used the second die from Captivating squares and the outside die from Medallion Four. I like how those two dies mate...it is quite lovely.
In case you are wondering, the specks you see on the ivory is not from a dirty camera lens or dirty fingers, there are specs of color in the ivory paper. It looks so neat in person but probably shows up as errors on my card!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful week!
Hugs,
Kathy Jo
